Wine Bar George is a relatively new addition to Disney Springs that we don’t always hear a lot about. The Edison has been getting most of the attention, but there’s another great contender out there! Wine Bar George. This bar is cool, fun, delicious, and convenient: the perfect ingredients for a great night!
1. The Wine
Well, duh, right? But hear me out! Wine Bar George hosts an impressive selection of more than 130 types of wines! The cool thing is they come from all over – California, France, Italy, you name it. There are acclaimed wineries and new companies that we’ll hear from soon, I’m sure. These wine selections go beautifully with the food options at Wine Bar George. There are even special pairing options, but more on that later…. All of these incredible wines are handpicked by Master Sommelier George Miliotes, so they’re sure to be amazing.
Wine Bar George is perched in the popular Landing, right by the water. It is perfect for adding to that downtown, urban vibe. It’s 100% the hip place to go, along with its neighbors: Paradiso, the Edison, etc. Wine Bar George takes advantage of its location particularly at night. It’s appropriate for kids and families, but it’s definitely geared more towards adults. They leave the door open so you guests can peak inside as they walk by. The energy is electric. From the streets, to the bar, to the seating, Wine Bar George knows how to get people in its doors…
…and the reason for that is its vibe. Wine Bar George describes itself as “rustic chic,” and that perfectly captures its décor and feeling. It absolutely follows suit of all the best wine bars out there. It doesn’t feel “Disney” in the traditional, cartoon sense. It’s sophisticated and elegant, hip and cool, subdued and vibrant. There are two levels and a patio to choose from for seating. All have their own vibe. This is a great place for catching up with friends, date night, or just treating yourself!

4. The Basket at Wine Bar George
I think this was a brilliant choice. Wine Bar George is great for sitting down and enjoying the evening. But what if you just want the food, not the experience? That’s where The Basket at Wine Bar George comes into play! The Basket is right next-door and offers a selection of similar menu and wine items to take to go. There’s even an option to build your own picnic basket. This is perfect for a warm evening to grab a basket, sit by the water, or take a meal home, and enjoy!
5. Late Night Menu
Thursday through Saturday Wine Bar George is here for a good time. On these days they are open until 2 in the morning! Disney Springs often stays awake until the wee hours, so Wine Bar George accommodates! This is great for those who want an adult experience without having kids around, or who just like staying up late!
6. The Spread
Oh my gosh, the spread. Wine Bar George doesn’t have a traditional menu of appetizers, entrees, desserts. Instead, they offer small plates, boards, family-style plates, and sweets (and a kids’ menu). These selections are amazing. A lot of it includes dishes that are normal, but they add something extra to make it unique, like a skirt steak with chimichurri or pork cheeks with orange gremolata. The Basket at Wine Bar George also has some incredible sandwiches!
7. Paired Dishes
During the dinner hours, Wine Bar George has a section on their menu called “Outstanding by the Ounce: Masterfully Paired Holiday Indulgence.” This is a pretty outstanding part of the menu. There are four pairing choice bases: caviar, crab meat, foie gras, and wagyu beef. Each option comes with an amazing wine from France or Germany to pair. There’s also a chocolate pairing experience that is a must!
8. Signature, but Casual
The thing that is so cool about Wine Bar George is that while it is technically listed as a signature dining experience, it is super casual. This goes back to Vibe and Location. It’s a chill experience at Wine Bar George. It’s fun and laid-back, but also nice with amazing food. It’s a win-win all around.
