Ah, Venice. The Italy Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase is one of my favorites. I love the feeling of the whole square. And, conveniently, there are lots of great restaurant choices here too! Tutto Italia is the main restaurant in the pavilion and is absolutely great. Here are 8 things you’ll love about it:
1. Authenticity
World Showcase prides itself on authenticity. As a whole, the country pavilions are incredibly accurate. The Italy Pavilion is no exception. When I went to St. Mark’s Square in Venice, I felt like I had been there before…all thanks to Epcot! Tutto Italia is the same way. Even though the actual dining room is gigantic compared to what you’d find in Italy, everything else is authentic. All of the food dishes are purely Italian, the décor makes you feel like you’re right there, and the waiters make you feel right at home!
2. House-Made Pasta
Somehow, this truly makes a difference. I think we can all agree that great pasta is a gift, but house-made pasta takes it up a notch. In the actual country Italy, imported pasta is not a thing. Nearly every restaurant makes their own pasta in the back – probably using their great-great-great grandmother’s recipe. Tutto Italia keeps this tradition alive and well! All of their pasta (and they have many great pasta options) is made right there in the restaurant for your pasta loving pleasure!
3. Head Chef
The menu at Tutto Italia is remarkable. And there’s a good reason why! This menu was created by world-renowned chef Joachim Splichal. Splichal is a multi award-winning chef and Californian restaurateur originally from Germany. He founded a restaurant group and has written several books. He prides himself on his fresh foods, which is apparent in his menu choices. Joachim Splichal was a great nab for this brilliant restaurant!

4. Whimsy
At first glance, Tutto Italia seems like a pretty nice, upscale restaurant, which it is. But there are also lots of little things scattered throughout the space that demonstrate how fun and whimsical it is! The intricate murals hold many secrets, including some fun hidden characters who are ready to tell a story. There’s a waiter not doing his job very well, some musicians tuning up for a performance, and more! I also love that Tutto Italia occasionally brings in live musicians to walk around the restaurant and serenade guests with beautiful Italian tunes.
A fantastic addition to Tutto Italia was the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. It is attached to the same building as Tutto Italia, but has an entirely different feeling. This is a great spot to grab a fantastic, unique glass of wine before your dining reservation. Or maybe a great selection of tapas as an appetizer! I love the Wine Cellar because it’s so different from everything else, totally authentic, and has a really cool vibe. And let’s not forget the selection of 200 Italian wines!
6. Seating in the Piazza
Tutto Italia has a very impressive, open dining room. But a great aspect of this restaurant is its piazza seating. If it’s not too brutally hot outside, you might love to sit in this outdoor seating area overlooking “St. Mark’s Square.” The Italian Pavilion is so beautiful, so I love this opportunity to bask in it while I eat my amazing meal. Eating outside is very common in Italy, so this only adds to the authentic nature of this restaurant.
7. Décor
The décor in this restaurant is just so special. Every inch of the main dining room holds something that is either from, or will remind you of Italy. From the high, wood-beam ceilings, to the glass chandeliers, to the ornate Roman murals, to the Venetian glass sculptures, Tutto Italia has a little bit of everything. The murals on all of the walls are especially cool because they’re created to be three-dimensional to make guests truly feel like they’re a part of the scene.
8. Large Selection
The menu at Tutto Italia is very impressive. There’s truly a little bit of everything to choose from at this restaurant. We’ve already discussed the top quality pasta, but Tutto Italia also offers a great seafood selection, as well as scrumptious paninis and salads! Don’t forget dessert: get the cannoli, or gelati, or the hazelnut cake, or all of it. Plus, the adults in your group may love the great alcoholic menu! While there are hundreds of wines to choose from, there are also some amazing Italian cocktails.
