It’s been described as a must-do for every Walt Disney World vacation, for good reason! A stop at Beaches and Cream is sure to please every member of your party. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or a mid-afternoon ice cream sundae, Beaches and Cream is a retro soda shop that is sure to become a family favorite.
8. A Retro Dream
Beaches and Cream’s decor is nostalgic 1950s, at its best. Even if you were born after the 50s, you can’t help but smile as soon as you step into this candy-colored dream! You’ll sit at pastel-colored vinyl booths or at wrought iron chairs and tables, while looking at whimsical artwork reminiscent of the dancing food in retro commercials (Grease, anyone??). A brightly-colored jukebox and the whirring of milkshake machines complete the trip back in time.
7. Best Ice Cream in WDW
You can try, but you won’t find better ice cream in all of Walt Disney World! Beaches and Cream is the place to be for ice cream, full stop! Whether you order a simple cone or cup of your favorite flavor, or a larger sundae, you won’t be sorry. We recommend the No Way Jose sundae (for anyone who doesn’t have a peanut allergy). It’s a delightful concoction starring peanut butter and hot fudge on top of vanilla and chocolate ice cream, topped with whipped cream, chocolate bits, peanut butter chips and a cherry. Note: this huge sundae is practically a meal in itself! And it’s totally worth it.
6. Burgers
Though the focus at Beaches and Cream is rightfully on the ice cream, you’d be amiss if you didn’t try one of their lunch or dinner items. This is good old American food, and it’s mouth-watering! Go for the Angus burger or, for a nostalgic nod to Sunday dinners of yore, chow down on the meatloaf sandwich with mushroom gravy. For sides, there’s a variety of fun fries options, plus onion rings and chili. And vegetarians, don’t despair – there’s even a home-made veggie burger!

5. More Ways to Enjoy
Fans of Beaches and Cream know that there can be a bit of a wait for those fantastic desserts (the secret is out about this fantastic spot, it seems!). But fear not, Disney now takes dining reservations, making sure you’ll be able to book a table for lunch or dinner, avoiding the lines. Of course, not all of us know months in advance that we’ll be in the mood for an ice cream sundae! So for those spontaneous must-have-ice-cream moments, you can still drop by – there’s a take-out counter and outdoor tables for walk-ins.
4. Soda Fountain Heaven
In the mood for an old-fashioned soda pop? You’ve come to the right place! At Beaches and Cream, you can add cherry, vanilla, raspberry or chocolate syrup to your soda pop to take it to the next level. Or maybe you’re in the mood for one of the many shakes and malts on tap (complete with whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry!). Or you can simply opt for a Coke or Root Beer float. There truly is no wrong choice here!
3. Location
While the desserts at Beaches and Cream are to die for, its location is also quite a treat! It’s between the Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts, and you’ll have a lovely view of Stormalong Bay if you eat at one of the outdoor tables. It’s also within just a few minutes’ walk from both Epcot’s World Showcase entrance, and Disney’s Boardwalk, so if you’re planning an afternoon of shopping and resort-hopping (always recommended!), Beaches and Cream is a perfectly situated spot for a break!
2. Kitchen Sink Sundae
This is THE dessert to order at Beaches and Cream! The Kitchen Sink Sundae isn’t cheap, but it is an ice cream event that everyone should take part in at least once. It’s a monster sundae that serves four, and is served in a bowl that looks like an actual kitchen sink. There are three versions to choose from: chocolate lovers’, Neapolitan, and the original. Whichever you pick, it’ll take you awhile to get to the ice cream, because you’ll have to dig through a hodge-podge of more ice cream toppings than you’ve ever seen before! You really have to see it to believe it – rumor has it that an entire can of whipped cream goes into the mix…
1. Adult Floats/Beverages
Who says ice cream is for kids? Beaches and Cream has a fantastically diverse menu of adult floats and beverages that are definitely not for the little ones. You can enjoy a hard root beer or cider, or kick back with some Pinot Grigio or Merlot. For more the adventurous, fun options like s’mores floats (featuring Amarula and Bols Creme de Dark Cacao) and grasshopper floats (with Guinness Stout) await. Enjoy!
