5 Reasons We Love Walt Disney World’s Epcot

Does anyone not love Epcot? Epcot is a Park unlike any other. It inherently feels different than the other Parts of Disney. Here are five of the many reasons we love Walt Disney World’s Epcot:

5. Restaurants

In my opinion, Epcot has the best restaurants of the four parks. Epcot just has an advantage over all the others: the entire world. These restaurants are so unique and offer flavors and experiences that nothing else can on property. There are so many options to choose from, but none that disappoint. Restaurants in Epcot range in formality, too. You can have an amazing meal at a quick serve, like La Cantina de San Angel, and an equally amazing meal at a high class sit down like Monsieur Paul. Basically, it’s impossible to go hungry in Epcot and your taste buds will never be upset.

4. Education

Disney makes it a company wide mission to provide an educational opportunity in everything it does. Epcot especially so. Each of the pavilions in the park are essentially real life classrooms, but way cooler. You get to touch, smell, see, feel and be in the material. And the cast members in each pavilion are from their respective country and are always excited to talk about their home. Kids get so much out of it at the Kidcot stations, too. Epcot is able to open our minds, while we have a ton of fun!

3. Festivals

Epcot has some of the coolest festivals ever. There are currently three festivals throughout the year on which Epcot heavily relies. They have the Flower and Garden Festival in the Spring, the Food and Wine Festival in the Fall, and a brand new Festival of the Arts in the Winter. Each of these festivals bring a certain flair to the Park and drastically boosts its numbers. Flower and Garden makes Epcot even more beautiful than it was before, Food and Wine adds flavor and vividness, and Festival of the Arts invites creativity and life to the park.

2. Soarin’

I mean, come on. This ride was revolutionary when Disney first unveiled it and it has still held up. Soarin,’ frankly, is awesome. Future World was made bigger by the addition of this ride. It has changed over the years, especially with the new international update. Soarin’ is the favorite ride of so, so many people. It’s amazing how for five minutes guests can honestly think they are up in the air, flying, gliding, exploring, soaring… It’s the magic of Disney and the magic of Epcot.

1. Music

Epcot music is some of my all time favorite Disney music. I could sit and listen to the fountain music in Future World for hours and hours upon end. There are so many different types throughout the Park. The fountain music melds into Future World music, which melds into a mariachi band, which melds into Norwegian folk and so on and so forth. I absolutely love this. I love how seamless it all is and how you sometimes even forget the music is there because it’s so perfect.

About Molly Elias

Molly Elias has been a dedicated Disney fan since she was 18-months old. She has grown up with and learned from Disney her whole life. As her family's main vacation spot, Disney World is a place of love and laughter and magic for her. Her family also prides themselves on their Disney Cruise Line knowledge and would rather be on the high seas with Mickey than anywhere else in the world. Molly plans to keep Disney in her life forever, while also pursuing a writing career. She recently completed a master's program in creative writing in the hopes that someday she will be able to be a writer for the Happiest Company on Earth. Molly keeps Walt's famous quote at the forefront of her life: "Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious...and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."
