10 Tips for the Best Day Ever at Walt Disney World’s Epcot

Epcot is such an amazing Disney Park. From the food, to the culture, to the rides, this Park has it all. There are lots of ways to do a day in Epcot, and all of them great! But here we have some tips to make it the best day ever at Epcot:

1. FastPass the Big Ones

Epcot isn’t necessarily known for its thrill rides, but there are still some amazing ones. The thing about the rides at Epcot are that not all of them draw insane crowds. There are definitely certain attractions that you do not need to spend a valuable FastPass on. For example, don’t worry about getting a FastPass for Figment or Living With the Land. But there are certain ones that you definitely want to secure. If you can, grab a FastPass for Soarin,’ Test Track, and Frozen Ever After. Those are the ones with the huge wait times.

2. Enter in International Gateway

Sometimes getting into Epcot through the front gates can get kind of congested and crazy. The International Gateway entrance is much more relaxed and pleasant to enter through. This entrance is for Epcot Resort guests primarily, but it’s wonderful for everyone else too! You can get here by boat or walking path from either the Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin, Yacht and Beach Club, or Hollywood Studios.

3. Get a Picture in Front of Spaceship Earth

How could you not, am I right? Spaceship Earth is massive, it’s iconic, it’s awesome. You have to get at least great shot of the behemoth. If you’re in Epcot during one of its wonderful festivals, chances are the front entrance will be extra decorating with topiaries and flowers galore. This makes for a fantastic picture spot!

4. Do KidCot Fun Stops

Don’t let the title fool you! KidCot is an excellent way to get to know the different countries around World Showcase. Each Pavilion has their own KidCot booth and story. Cast Members are available to provide information cards relative to their specific country, stickers, and even a helpful Ziploc (Sponsors) to carry it all in! This makes for a great, free souvenir and reminder of what you learned at Epcot!

5. Try Out Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure

Similarly to KidCot, Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure is a brilliant way for the whole family to explore this part of the Park. Phineas and Ferb is such a fun show – this activity follows the excitement and humor of the show, while allowing families to be all over World Showcase.

6. Eat at Different Countries

In order to have the best day ever, my tip would be to eat many things at several different countries. In Disney it can be tempting to eat the nearest chicken finger or popcorn you can find and be done with it. But Epcot has the unique advantage of catering to many different cultures and cuisines. Have a pastry in France, snack of gelato in Italy, noodles in China, tacos in Mexico, or something else entirely!

7. Watch the Fountain

The Fountain of Nations in the center of Future World is such a beautiful Park landmark. It is incredibly easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of a visit to a Disney Park – I think it’s important to take time to sit and rest while there. The Fountain is a perfect option for this. Every so often throughout the day, the Fountain puts on a glorious show filled with music and dancing water. Grab a coffee, sit by the Fountain, rejuvenate, and enjoy.

8. Enjoy Voices of Liberty

One of my favorite parts of World Showcase is getting to experience the talent of the Cast Members there. The Voices of Liberty can be heard in the American Adventure Pavilion before the show, although many people just go for the singing. These a capella singers are extraordinary. This is a great way to relax in the AC, enjoy some spectacular music, and feel very patriotic!

9. Peruse Mouse Gear

Mouse Gear is the massive shop in Epcot’s Future World. I love this store. Basically, if there’s Disney merchandise that you want, it’ll be at Mouse Gear. Mouse Gear is fun to peruse even if you have nothing in mind to buy. The decor is great, too! Keep your eyes up to see the happenings on the ceiling! Pro tip: Passholders get a discount here!

10. Watch IllumiNations from Spice Road Table

The best way to end a great day at Epcot is to watch IllumiNations. You can view this incredible fireworks display from anywhere in the World Showcase, but Spice Road Table in Morocco has some of the best sights around the World. Spice Road Table has unbelievable food, made even better by the beauty of the show.
