Disney Dine-on-the-Go Dining Plan to be Tested at Walt Disney World

Disney has announced that they will be testing a new dining plan product called, “1-Day Disney Dine-on-the-Go” at Magic Kingdom.  The plan is a 1-day quick service dining plan that allows you to pre-pay for your meals for the day.  Depending on what and how much you would normally order, this could help you save a little bit of money on your food costs.  Dining Plans have also always been limited to resort guests in the past, so this will be a new way for non-Disney resort guests to also pre-pay for meals.  The testing will run from January 12th to February 22nd. It will priced at $29, plus tax for adults and $12, plus tax for children ages 3-9.

If you purchase the dining plan, you will receive the following certificate entitlements that can be redeemed at the participating Magic Kingdom locations:

  • 1 Lunch quick-service meal
    • Must be used before 4PM
    • Includes 1 entree and 1 non-alcoholic single-serving beverage
  • 1 Dinner quick-service meal
    • Must be used after 4PM, and prior to park closing
    • Includes 1 entree and 1 non-alcoholic single-serving beverage

Note: Desserts are NOT included in either of the meals.

The participating restaurants for this new dining plan at Magic Kingdom will be:

If this test goes well and achieves good success and feedback, we can expect that this will likely become a permanent offering at the park, and likely expand to other theme parks at Walt Disney World.  Tell us what you think about this new offering!
