Cook Time 40 minutes
Total Time 50 minutes
Servings: 12 sliders
Course: Appetizer, Dinner, Main Course
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 (2-ounce) packet Lipton soup mix (1 packet)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 12 cheese slices Kraft or Velveeta cheese slices work great too
  • 12 slider rolls I found mine in the bakery section of the grocery store. You may be able to fit more on depending on the size of the buns.

Method

  1. Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Set aside a baking sheet.
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef. Lipton onion soup mix, peanut butter, and milk.
A clear glass bowl filled with a mixture of raw ground meat, likely prepared for making meatloaf or meatballs. The meat appears seasoned, showing a mix of pink and light brown colors. The bowl is placed on a white surface.
  3. Step 3: Spread the meat mixture on the baking sheet. Use a rolling pin to roll over the meat to smooth it out. Bake for about 10 minutes. The meat will shrink. Put the diced onion all around the edges.
A close-up of a dish featuring cooked white rice topped with a thick, brown, chunky sauce. The sauce appears to be a blend of ground ingredients, spread unevenly across the rice. The meal is presented on a white plate.
  4. Step 4: Bake another 7-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
A close-up view of a baking dish filled with a cheesy casserole. The top layer is covered in melted, golden brown cheese. Edges of the dish show a slight browning where the cheese has crisped.
  5. Step 5: Add the tops of the rolls (the bottom part of the rolls will just sit on the counter.) Bake for about 5 more minutes.
A tray of freshly baked cheeseburger sliders, topped with shiny golden-brown buns. The sliders are neatly arranged in a 3x4 grid, with melted cheese visible between the buns. The buns appear fluffy, and there are small bits of finely chopped onions around them.
  6. Step 6: Remove from oven. Slice the meat into individual sliders with a pizza cutter. Pick up the slider meat and its top bun with a spatula and set it on the bottom bun.
A hand holding a small cheeseburger with a bite taken out of it. In the background, there are crinkle-cut fries, a bowl of pickles, and more cheeseburgers on a plate. A bowl of ketchup is partially visible at the bottom of the image.

Notes

  • I found my slider rolls in the bakery section of the grocery store. You may be able to fit more or fewer buns on the meat, depending on the size of the buns.
  • Once you have your cheese sliders baked and cut, you can top them with all kinds of toppings ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, or other condiments; dill pickle slices (you’ll probably want 20-24 dill pickle chips for these, especially if you’re a fan of dill pickle); lime pickles; garlic powder; and a pinch of salt.
