6.) Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa – The flagship Disney Resort in Walt Disney World is located on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon just to the left of the Magic Kingdom. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa was inspired by the architecture of the Hotel Coronado in California but also features a Victorian charm and elegance that is especially brought to life through its amazing lobby. With lush carpeting, pastel colors, and many elegant details, the lobby of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa features a massive atrium with tons of natural light spilling in making it seem even larger than it is. Plush armchairs and couches are scattered on the main floor, giving guests the perfect locations to sit and enjoy a small orchestra that often plays on one of the overlooking balconies above. One side of the lobby features a magnificent elevator that is designed to look like an intricate white iron birdcage from the Victorian era. On the floors above overlooking the main floor of the lobby, guests can also enjoy shopping, dining, monorail access, and many amazing details that help to continue the Victorian theme found at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
