One of the fastest-growing groups on social media is Disney influencers — whether they have a YouTube channel, an Instagram Page, or a TikTok. There are some Disney pages that focus on food at Disney Parks, while others might just focus on Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, and even Disneyland Paris. There is a Disney social media page that honors nearly every type of Disney fandom, Disney Park, Disney style, and Disney vacation.
While some TikTokers and social media influencers have gotten a bad rep for bad behavior — like YouTubers who have been accused of visiting the Parks when they knowingly had COVID — others just love to share their theme park joy with the rest of the world.
One of those people who loves to focus on a fun page is TikToker Same Paige (@sampaigeeee). Sam has more than 3 million followers and loves to share inspiring body positivity videos, clips of her amazing costumes, and, of course, videos of her fun Disney trips. However, several videos she shared recently are going viral for not very positive reasons.
Sam recently visited Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, wearing a pink top, white skort (skirt with shorts underneath), pink ears, and a pink fanny pack to complete the look. She then filmed several videos of herself dancing in front of Cinderella Castle. However, while many of the comments were positive and said that she looked fantastic, there were also number of comments saying that her outfit was inappropriate.
@sampaigeeee My fave place!!!
Sam was having nothing to do with the negative comments. She made it clear — if her video was not clear enough — that she was wearing a shirt with sleeves and a skirt with shorts attached. Sam then slammed the trolls and negative commenters with the fact that they most likely didn’t like her outfit because she was a bigger woman. She pointed out that plenty of smaller people have been seen around the Parks wearing more revealing things.
@sampaigeeee Replying to @stranger_danger_get_away loo what big people have to go through just to exsist
The Disney World website currently states the following dress code:
Disney reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests. Attire that is not appropriate for the parks—and which may result in refusal of admittance—includes but is not limited to:
- Costumes and costume masks, which may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older.
Exceptions:
- Specific Halloween and Christmas events. See below.
- Some outfits inspired by Star Wars. Learn more
- Clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphics
- Excessively torn clothing
- Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment
- Clothing that touches or drags on the ground
- Clothing with multiple layers is subject to search upon entry
- Objectionable tattoos
Overall, Sam’s followers and many commenters loved what she wore. Many said that they loved the colors, and others wanted to know where she bought her shirt and where she had it.
Sam did not let the negative comments get her down and continues to post videos of her living her best life.
