3.) Disney’s New Riviera Resort will give Guests an excellent view – November 18, 2018

At D23’s Destination D event that celebrated Mickey’s 90^th birthday, Chairman of Disney Parks Bob Chapek gave attendees a sneak peek at Disney’s new Riviera Resort. The resort will be the 15^th Disney Vacation Club Resort on Disney property. It will open in fall of 2019. The resort will offer Guests an amazing view of the fireworks spectaculars at some of Disney’s theme parks. The resort’s architecture is inspired by European influences. This is a nod to Walt’s trip to Europe with his wife in 1935. Walt fell in love with the castles and villages he saw during his travels, and many of those things found their way into Disney films for decades afterward.
