The Top 10 Counter-Service Restaurants at Walt Disney World

Pecos-Bill-Magic-Kingdom
  1. Pecos Bill’s Tall Tale Café – Magic Kingdom

This great restaurant has a southwestern flair—what’s better than Tex-Mex food? Not too many things. Can you tell I’m from Dallas? And in Texas, we’re serious about our Tex-Mex food, and in this Texan’s opinion, Pecos Bill’s is on the level. Offerings include fajita platters—chicken or steak—with traditional sides of rice and beans, as well as burritos, salads, chicken enchilada soup and more. For dessert, there are sopapillas and churros. It’s nice to get to Pecos Bill’s an hour or so before the Festival of Fantasy Parade, eat lunch and then enjoy the parade from your seat. If you choose to do this and the weather is nice, you’ll want to eat at a table outside, and during crowded times, they can be hard to come by. If you don’t find a table outside, you can still eat and then move outside and sit along the parade route. This is a must-try restaurant and can be followed by a must-see parade!
