A Disney vacation isn’t a true Disney vacation without staying on property. When staying on property you are fully immersed in all the magic for the full duration of your stay, and there are multiple advantages to staying at a Disney resort. However cost can be a big concern for guests when budgeting for a Disney Vacation, but luckily for us cost conscious Disney fans, there are some very affordable resorts on Disney property, the Value resorts! The Value resorts are a fantastic option for people who want the full Disney vacation experience, but don’t want to spend their entire vacation budget on their resort. Here are 5 reasons why we love Disney’s Value resorts.

5. Giant Icons

The theming changes from resort to resort, but one thing that all the Value resorts have in common, are the giant, larger than life icons. At All-Star Movies there are giant 101 Dalmatian icons of Perdita and Pongo, as well as some Toy Story characters, and familiar characters from Fantasia. Over at All-Star Music the buildings feature the biggest cowboy boots and instruments you’ll ever see, and at All-Star Sports there are giant footballs, surfboards, and an angry Donald playing tennis. Pop Century has a mix of Disney characters and items from decades throughout the years, and Art of Animation, the newest Value resort, has some of the best and biggest icons from The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Cars and The Lion King. Whichever Value resort you’re at, you’ll find big and colorful icons decorating the resort making them a fun and magical place to stay.

4. Family Friendly

The Value resorts are the perfect place for families to stay at, especially those with young children. The atmosphere is fun and colorful, the larger than life icons give the resorts a laid back atmosphere where people don’t have to worry about being too loud or disturbing other guests because there are a ton of families staying at these resorts. There are pools for little ones as well as older children and adults, and Disney movies under the stars each night. The cafeteria style dining area is also a place where families don’t have to worry about being too loud or disturbing other families because the dining area is always bustling with people. There are also a number of food options available throughout the day that will appease even the pickiest eater. Art of Animation and All-Star Music have rooms that can accommodate larger families at a great price point.

3. Easy

The Value resorts are easy to navigate. The layout is very basic with each building being visually very different, so it’s easy to find your building. The main building is at the front of the resort, and there are plenty of cast members there to help you and answer any questions you might have. The buses are also right at the front outside of the main building so transportation is extremely straight-forward and easy to find at the Value resorts. Plus, the Skyliner at Art of Animation and Pop Century makes getting to and from EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios a breeze. There is one store, and a dining area as well. Everything feels accessible and easy to find at the Value resorts. These resorts have all the Disney basics that you need without over-complicating things. These are great resorts to start with when you’re just being introduced to Disney.

2. Great Perks

What’s fantastic about staying on property is that no matter which resort guests are staying at, they will receive the same wonderful perks. Guests staying at a Deluxe, Moderate or Value resort all get free parking at the resort and the parks, as well as access to free transportation throughout Walt Disney World. Guests can also take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours during their stay. Certain parks on particular days either open early, or stay open later for resorts guests only. All resort guests can have their park purchases sent to their resort to pick up later. There are also those little bits of pixie dust which guests can find at all the resorts, including the Value resorts, such as character wake up calls. Guests can arrange for a character to wake them up in the morning with a phone call, simply by calling the front desk or using the wake up call button on the phone. These great perks are available to all resorts guests, showing that Disney cares about the comfort and experience of all their guests.

The number one thing we love about the Value resorts is in the name, value! These resorts offer just that, fantastic value to guests who have a smaller vacation budget, or those who want to spend most of their time in the parks and just need a comfortable home away from home. For a great price guests can stay at a number of Value resorts that have comfortable rooms with great amenities. They have pools to cool off in, convenient transportation, food courts and they still offer guests the experience of staying fully immersed in that Disney magic throughout their stay without breaking the bank.
