9) Horseback Rides
Speaking of horses, you can do more at Walt Disney World than just visit them. You can ride them as well. Once again, you will want to head to Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Horseback riding is available there as well. Guests ages nine and older can take part in the 45 minute journey, and experience the beauty of the area. If your little one is not old enough, he or she does not have to miss out on a chance to ride. Pony rides are also offered. The child must be at least two years old. The rider also can weigh no more than 80 pounds, and cannot be over 48 inches tall. If you love horses but don't want to ride, you might want to book a carriage or wagon ride instead. The 25 minute wagon rides are surprisingly affordable, the price depends on the time of year. Carriage rides take place not only at Tri-Circle-D Ranch, but also at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. Holiday Sleigh Rides are also held in December.
