10) Getting There Getting to the Magic Kingdom isn't always easy. The parking lot is not connected to the park, so if you drive you will need to park your car and walk or take a tram to the Transportation & Ticket Center. From there you will either take the monorail or a ferry to the park. If you are using Walt Disney World transportation you will take a bus from most of the hotels. If you are staying in a Magic Kingdom Resort Area hotel you will have the option of the monorail or a ferry. Staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort has one added option. There is a walking trail from the resort to the front entrance of the park. That path is reason enough for some people to choose Disney's Contemporary Resort.
