13 Tips and Secrets for Walt Disney World

12) Go During Christmas Season at Least One Time The Christmas season offers plenty of extra magic at Walt Disney World. The decorations are incredible, and there are extras that take place in the parks. The week between Christmas and New Year's Day tends to be the busiest week each year, with wall to wall people in each park. If you want to see the decorations and experience the extra magic with a lighter crowd, plan your trip carefully. The last week of November (after Thanksgiving weekend) tends to have a manageable crowd level, as does the first week of December. The first few days of the New Year, after January 1, also have lower crowds. Remember if you visit immediately after New Year's Day that you might not be able to see the extras such as the storytellers in Epcot, but the decorations will still be up until January 5 or so. If you visit during the Christmas season, plan to spend one day visiting the Deluxe Resorts. The decorations are amazing.
