12. Nighttime Entertainment -- Throughout the theme parks of Walt Disney World, there are several forms of nighttime entertainment that definitely need to be experienced on each trip. The Magic Kingdom is home to Happily Ever After which celebrates a happy ending with beautiful fireworks lighting up the sky accompanied by classic Disney music and gorgeous projections on Cinderella Castle. Epcot’s World Showcase Lagoon hosts a nightly showing of Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. This show celebrates the unity of all people with a dramatic combination of special effects, fireworks, laser lights, pyrotechnics, dancing water, beautiful music, and a massive spinning globe. Disney’s Hollywood Studios presents Fantasmic!, a nightly show in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater located off of Sunset Boulevard. The show brings guests on an epic journey inside Mickey’s imagination for a battle between good and evil. Guests can enjoy familiar characters and music, special effects, projected animals, dancing water, pyrotechnics, and a massive dragon that seems to fill the entire amphitheater. Finally, Disney’s Animal Kingdom features the Tree of Life Awakening after dark. Every ten minutes or so, a beautiful story is told right on the trunk of the Tree of Life via projections. Each story shares an important message about nature and is sure to be loved by guests.
