There’s no such thing as planning too early for a trip to Disney World, but there is such a thing as not planning early enough. Because there is so much to see and do, you’ll want to be sure you give yourself enough time to plan your trip. If you’ve never visited the parks before, you should probably begin planning 12 to 18 months in advance. If you have been before, begin your planning 8 to 12 months in advance. Hotel reservations in the parks can be made up to 499 days in advance, and dining reservations can be made 180 days in advance.
