8. Tom Sawyer Island – Frontierland, Magic Kingdom
Because this attraction is hidden and only accessible by log raft, it is easy to miss, especially if you are new to Magic Kingdom. But don’t let that stop you! This attraction is every kid’s (and kid-at-heart’s) dream come true! Board a log raft and sail across the Rivers of America to Tom Sawyer Island, where you and your family will enjoy a self-guided tour of an island that draws its inspiration from the stories of Mark Twain. Explore Injun Joes’ cave, visit Old Scratch’s Mystery Mine and step across an old barrel foot-bridge, just like Tom Sawyer, Becky Thatcher and Huck Finn. The attraction may be hidden, but experiencing it is akin to finding a diamond or precious gem, and the adventure and exploration are well worth the time and energy! Should you have any trouble finding the boarding platform for the log rafts, ask any Cast Member to point you in the right direction.
