10. Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover – Tomorrowland, Magic Kingdom
Originally called the “WEDway Peoplemover” (for Walter Elias Disney), this 10-minute journey takes place high above Tomorrowland. As Guests make their way to the Astro Orbiter attraction, they can easily miss the conveyor belt leading up to the boarding platform for the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover. And though it is the furthest thing from a thrill ride, it has a lot of perks. For example, it boasts a behind-the-scenes look into some of the attractions in Tomorrowland, such as Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. It’s also a great break from the crowds at Disney, and in the summertime, it’s also a really nice hiatus from the Florida sun. It’s also a non-threatening ride to enjoy with your family if you have a child with special needs who needs a quiet place during your visit to the parks, free from over-stimulating lights, sights and sounds.
