11 Facts You Didn’t Know About Walter Elias Disney

1. The world would be very different without Walt’s influence.

Again, who would want to imagine a world without Walt Disney and his influence? It might not be a small world without him, but it would definitely be a very different world. Imagine traveling to central Florida and instead of seeing signs for Disney World, you see swampland and marshes. Now imagine driving down Interstate 5 in Anaheim, California, and Disneyland is non-existent. And just think, without Walt Disney, out of all the DVDs you have stored on the shelves of your entertainment center, not one would have Cinderella Castle on the spine of the cover, and none of them would be Disney movies. No Cinderella Castle, no countdown to your next Disney trip, no Tigger pajamas, no Mickey. Without Walt’s influence, your childhood would take on a different look.

That’s a world I want no part of. How about you? I’m so grateful that thanks to Walt’s genius, his perseverance, hard work and dedication to creating a place where families could build memories together, we can experience life with Disney all year long, all the world over.
