7. The DAS Pass
The Disability Access Service pass, or DAS pass is one of the most wonderful services offered by the Walt Disney World Resort. It allows a person (child or adult) with certain special needs, and their traveling party, to reserve a time to enjoy an attraction so that there is no need to wait in the queue. The DAS Pass was created with different special needs in mind, such as autism, which may make it difficult for a person to wait in a queue for an extended period of time, during which that person may become over-stimulated, nervous or uncomfortable. The best part about the DAS Pass is that it can be used in combination with the FastPass+ system. Simply go to the Guest Services location within the park you’re visiting and request a DAS Pass. The member of your traveling party with a special need must be present, and a Cast Member will take a quick photograph of that person. Then the DAS Pass will be linked to the MagicBand of each person within your party.
After you’ve received your DAS Pass, approach the podium at any attraction, and a Cast Member will give you a time at which you and your party can return to enjoy the attraction—no waiting in the queue is necessary. What an amazing service!
