4) Festival of the Lion King
When you visit Animal Kingdom, you cannot miss the Festival of the Lion King. This stage production is a tribal celebration-style show that retells the story of Simba and his journey to take his rightful place as king. The show makes use of various kinds of performers—fire twirlers, acrobats, stilt walkers, puppeteers, dancers and singers. Extravagant costuming brings this show to life and creatively detailed puppets—some large and some small—come together to give life to the characters you remember from Disney’s 1994 feature film The Lion King. It’s better than Broadway and included in park admission, so don’t miss it!
