10 Closed Walt Disney World Attractions That We Miss

We diehard Disney fans are exactly that—Disney fans, no matter what. We love the films. We love the music. We love Walt. We love the parks, and each of us has a favorite one at Walt Disney World. We love the rides and attractions—even the ones that aren’t our favorites, simply because the attractions are part of the Disney parks. The truest of Disney fans can even hang with the ebb and flow of changes that come to the parks because we understand that those changes embody Walt’s “If you can dream it, you can do it” philosophy. Diehard fans, especially those of us with an affinity for the classic attractions like Peter Pan’s Flight, It’s a Small World, The Haunted Mansion and Carousel of Progress, find comfort in seeing that the classics have remained open and active over the years, despite changes in other attractions. But part of being a Disney superfan is having memories of attractions that were associated with our very first visit in the parks. And while most fans have learned to embrace changes in the parks as a part of how the most magical place on Earth continues to grow and evolve, many of us agree that we miss some of the attractions we experienced as first-timers, many of us only children on our first visit, and some of us already adults. Here are 10 Disney World attractions that are closed and gone forever that we really miss.
