10 Classic Attractions That Haven’t Changed at Walt Disney World

9. Liberty Square Riverboat

Not too much can change for a huge Colonial America-inspired steam-powered paddler wheeler that’s somewhat land-locked. And we’re glad. At Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom, Guests can board this gorgeous 3-tiered riverboat and enjoy a slow-paced ½-mile tour around Tom Sawyer Island along Disney’s Rivers of America. Endearingly named the “Liberty Belle,” this stately boat stands 47 feet tall and is quite a grand spectacle. Aboard the Liberty Belle, you will hear narration by American author Mark Twain. See an early American settlement, a Native American village, deer and even some very unique views of Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Haunted Mansion. The 17-minute ride around Tom Sawyer Island is relaxing and peaceful, and this is one of the classics that hasn’t changed at Disney World—and we’re happy about that because we like it just like it is!
