Walt Disney World Expecting Black Diamond Jet Team to Fly Over the Area Tonight

The Black Diamond Jet Team is a civilian-owned air aerobatic jet team, comparable to the Navy’s jet team, The Blue Angels.  The Black Diamonds are all set to fly over Walt Disney World this evening, May 19th, 2017.  The appearance is expected as part of the opening for the 2017 Special Olympics State Summer Games.  This event is scheduled to take place at ESPN Wide World of Sports.  The opening ceremony will kick off at 8PM EST tonight.  This is a great event for a great cause and the appearance of the Black Diamond Jet Team is sure to be exciting and entertainment for all of the guests.

The Black Diamond Jet Team features five L-39s and one T-33 plane.  The planes are all painted in camouflage paint to match each other.  The group is based out of Lakeland, FL, so they are usually very close by.  The pilots are former Navy and Air Force fighter pilots, so they definitely know what they are doing.  It is always a treat when these kinds of shows happen at Walt Disney World, especially since the areas around Walt Disney World are typically no fly zones.

Who out there will have the opportunity to see them tonight?  We would love to see your pictures and video!
