Toy Story 4 Announced!

Check out this incredible news reveled in Disney’s quarterly earnings call today.

John Lasseter will direct Toy Story 4 and it will be out in June 2017, Disney boss Bob Iger just said in its earnings call with analysts.

Toy Story 3 came out in 2010 and grossed $1.063B worldwide, making it the top-grossing animated film of all time until Frozen overtook it earlier this year.

“John created Toy Story and directed the first two films, and it’s great to have him back directing one of our most valuable properties,” Iger said.

Lasseter is one of the co-founders of Pixar, and also serves as Chief Creative Officer at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where his creative input has contributed to its latest renaissance. His last project as director was 2011’s Cars 2. He is also attached to direct its sequel, Cars 3.

Between now and Toy Story 4, we know of at least three other Pixar films. Next year will see both Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur, and 2016 will have the Finding Nemo sequel Finding Dory.
