New Holiday Decor and Entertainment Planned for Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World

The holidays will be even more festive this year at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  Disney Parks Blog announced that there will be new festive entertainment and holiday decorations in every land in the theme park.  At Discovery Island, guests will find themselves in a celebration of winter.  There will holiday decorations, animal-inspired luminaries, lanterns and more.  During the day there will be a holiday gathering of winter animals as life size puppets, including reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins and more to interact with guests.  There will also be musicians in the area, too.

The Tree of Life will feature wintry scenes with holiday-inspired music.  The Tree of Life will also shimmer and sparkle throughout the night in between when it awakens with the spirit of the holidays.

In Dinoland, U.S.A., there will festive holiday decorations, Donald Duck style, for Donald’s Dino-Bash.  Guests and characters will gather around Truck-O-Saurus for a Holiday Hoopla Dance Party with Chip ‘n Dale, including games and other fun.

Over in Asia, the theatre district will be decorated in celebration of Diwali, the holiday festival of lights in India.  There will be glowing flowers, lanterns and more illuminate the square between Anandapur Theater and the waterfront stage, which will feature authentic cultural performances.

Harambe in Africa will feature unique holiday offerings, “blending the inspiration and style of western traditions with the colors and textiles of authentic African celebrations.”  There will be new holiday costume additions and music.   Over at Tusker House, the characters will spread holiday cheer during the character meals.

There will even be fun at Pandora – The World of Avatar.  The ex-pats who work in Pandora will bring in a little bit of Christmas cheer.  There will be a display at Pongu Pongu, which will combine pieces from Earth with items and materials from Pandora.

We are super excited about all of the holiday fun coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!  It will all start on November 8th, 2019.
