Is One Man’s Dream the Next Attraction on the Chopping Block at Walt Disney World?

We usually get excited when we hear the different rumors that we learn about from various sources as they typically mean new and exciting things coming to Walt Disney World.  Some of them sadly also mean closures and change that may not be as exciting to some.  One of the current rumors is that One Man’s Dream at Disney’s Hollywood Studios may soon close permanently.  There is currently tons of new construction and attractions slated to be built at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the building where One Man’s Dream currently resides is one of the buildings that is set to be removed in order to make room for all of the Toy Story Land expansion.

This wouldn’t come as a surprise to many guests, as many of the artifacts that used to be housed there on display have been moved to other displays and locations for safekeeping.  “Walt’s Office” is among the grouping of artifacts and displays that was already packed up and moved to the Walt Disney Family Museum.  The writing has been on the wall, especially with the theater at the end of the attraction being used for movie promotions instead of the film about Walt Disney’s life that used to play there.  There have also been different character meet and greets held at the location, too.

The attraction first opened in 2001 and was meant to only be a temporary attraction.  It ended up finding a home for the last many years as a wonderful tribute to Walt Disney.  Many guests are sad to lose an attraction that focused on the history of Walt Disney, but at least we can find comfort in knowing that all of the artifacts will be kept in safe places and on display in other locations.

There are no official dates yet as to when the attraction would permanently close or any official announcements directly from Disney.  We definitely advise that you get over to the attraction and check out what is left while you can!

What do you all think of the possible soon end to One Man’s Dream?
