First Look at Walt Disney World’s New NBA Experience Opening in 2019

Plans are already underway for a new experience coming to Walt Disney World.  The new NBA Experience is set to open in the Disney Springs area within Walt Disney World.  The opening is currently anticipated for the Summer of 2019.  According to Disney Parks Blog, “Inspired by the modern architecture of new NBA arenas around the country, the building design exudes the same spirit and energizing impact, while creating an unmistakable and entertaining connection to the NBA in a way that only Disney can.”  The experience is expected to include various games, competitions, shopping opportunities, immersive experiences and a dining location. It is going to be an awesome experience for all of the basketball and sports fans out there!

Here is a look at the concept art that was released:

Here is what Maribeth Bisienere, Sr. Vice President of Disney Springs and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, had to say about the new NBA Experience, “We are inspired by the design of the new building and the energy that it will bring to the West Side of Disney Springs.”

Sal LaRocca, NBA President (Global Partnerships), also commented, “This one-of-a-kind experience is sure to be enjoyed by basketball and Disney fans of all ages who visit Disney Springs from around the world.”
