Disney Dining Review Blaze Pizza

One of the things I love about Disney Springs is the amount of dining experiences with varied menus and costs. While it is not exclusive to Disney Springs, you will find Blaze Pizza franchises across the US, it is a great option for your vacation, especially if you are looking for a good meal with wholesome ingredients at a great price.

Blaze is located near the Landing and Town Center areas of Disney Springs, often you will see the line formed outside before you reach the restaurant, but don’t worry, these are “fast-fired” pizzas and they move you through the multiple lines quickly. As part of the theming of Disney Springs Blaze is located in the logging and timber building (appropriate with the fired pizzas). As you wait in line look around the building for the details designers added like the log hooks holding the menu signs and the cross sections of trees.

The premise of the Blaze menu is pretty simple and allows you to choose from a large variety of toppings and sauces to craft your own specialty pizza. Or, you can choose one of the options from the menu if you prefer one you like. You start at the beginning of the line by selecting your crust and sauce, then the cheeses you want. Next up are the meats followed by a large selection of veggie toppings. At the end you can have some sauces added after firing. Pizza is not the only thing on the menu though, there are some great salads as well as desserts including a signature S’mores pie (cookie). Once you’ve finished your pizza designing they place it into the oven to fire it up for you. This produces a crispy crust with just the right amount of char. You get a pager to come back for your pizza once it is finished.

Blaze also has a great selection of beverages to choose from with some agua fresca and lemonade options and some great craft Blue Sky sodas . . . along with your typical pizza accompaniments.

Seating is available both inside the restaurant and outside under a covered patio. If the weather is favorable I love to eat outside overlooking the waters of the Springs—so pretty and peaceful.

On my most recent visit to Walt Disney World we enjoyed two lunches at Blaze Pizza, making 3 meals overall there for my family. I find it to be a great value for us, and a very tasty way for everyone to get the pizza that they want (since they are individually, but generously sized). I can get all the veggies I want, my 5 year old can get his cheese pizza, and my “only pepperoni please” son can be happy too. Although the line was long when we entered we were moved through quickly and efficiently without feeling rushed as we selected our toppings. By the time we fixed our drinks and settled in at our table our buzzer was going off to pick up our pies. Each time I had a slightly different variation of vegetable toppings with a couple of cheeses and the classic red sauce. The crust was baked to crispy perfection and the overall taste was delicious—so good I ate the whole thing and then felt like I needed to do 3 laps around Disney Springs to walk it off! And, my very favorite is the craft Root Beer they have. . . yum!!

Here’s a tip: Get the Blaze App on your phone. While the Disney Springs location does not offer ordering ahead on the app, you can get some rewards for scanning it when you purchase. And if you subscribe to their emails you may receive other offers—I was recently able to click through an email to get a buy one get one free pizza offer. They also offer various discounts so ask for those if you are an Annual Passholder, Disney Vacation Club Member, etc.

I highly recommend Blaze Pizza if you are looking for something that will be quick, but filling and good, and if you are looking for a meal on a bit of a budget. You could always think about sharing a pizza there (3 small-ish slices each) so that you would have room for a dessert at somewhere in Disney Springs like Sprinkles or Amorette’s Patisserie.

About Sarah Chapman

I am a long time Disney fan since I was hooked on Walt Disney World with my first trip in 1987. Since that time I’ve tried experiencing everything I can in the parks, with a total of 30 visits and counting (I’m always planning my next trip) to Walt Disney World—not to mention Disney Cruise Line and even (shhh!) Universal Orlando and Sea World. I’ve turned my Disney obsession into a profession helping others plan their magical vacations as a Dream Vacation Maker at LBAC Travel. I am a work at home mom to three wonderful boys, and each one has been properly indoctrinated with all things Disney. Walt Disney World is definitely our “Laughing Place.” Look for me on Facebook at Facebook.com/SarahLBAC for updates, discount announcements, tips, tricks and planning advice for your next vacation.
