9 Attractions with the Best Views of Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is a beautiful place. From its resorts, to its shows, to its attractions, there is beauty to be found all over. But did you know some of those best views come from on an attraction itself? Here are nine attractions with the best views of Walt Disney World:

1. Aerophile

The Aerophile is so cool. Located in Disney Springs – West Side, the Aerophile is a massive, high-flying experience. This colossus was custom built for Disney by a Paris-based company and prides itself on being the world’s largest hand-painted, helium balloon. For a fee (yes, this is the only ride “in Disney” that costs extra money), guests can soar 400 feet into the air for an 8-minute experience of a lifetime. The views are astonishing. Obviously, you can see all of Disney Springs, but on a good, clear day you can see up to 10 miles away!

2. Tower of Terror

The best view in Tower of Terror is the brief calm before the storm of this ride. But it’s awesome! Guests are taken up, up, and finally to the very top of the Hollywood Tower Hotel before being dropped to the basement again. Absolutely terrifying. But right before that crazy drop, the doors of the elevator open and guests can see all of Hollywood Studios. It’s a tremendous view, and a tremendous drop.

3. Expedition Everest

Expedition Everest towers high over Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It can even be seen from roads in the surrounding area. The ride itself is indoor and outdoor, which is great for views. As the cart brings you higher and higher up the mountain, guests can see all over the park – from across the lake to Asia and even further parts of Animal Kingdom. The trick is catching the sights before zooming down a cliff or being dragged backward!

4. Slinky Dog Dash

Slinky Dog Dash is an awesome rollercoaster because it’s completely outdoors, which means every part of the ride has some kind of view! I love the fact that the track is high above the ground of Toy Story Land. From Slinky Dog guests can see all Andy’s Backyard and even catch some glimpses of other parts of Hollywood Studios!

5. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is such a great, family coaster. So many people love this ride with good reason! As fun and smooth as this rollercoaster is, it has amazing views of Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom. If you time it just right, you can get a beautiful and unique view of the Happily Ever After fireworks show.

6. Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover

A fan favorite, the PeopleMover circles Tomorrowland from above, giving guests behind the scenes information and sights. From this attraction guests can see all of this part of Magic Kingdom, including the Castle and bits of Main Street and even glimpses of some of the surrounding resorts, like the Contemporary. These views are fun, relaxing, and downright beautiful.

7. Astro Orbiter

The Astro Orbiter has all of the same views as PeopleMover, but from a different medium. This ride is super cool because you get to control your height level, and therefore control your view. From the Astro Orbiter you can see all of Tomorrowland and beyond. Make sure to try it at night for a different perspective!

8. Splash Mountain

This view is amazing, but you only get about 2 seconds worth of amazing. Most of this ride is inside, as you wander through the Briar Patch. But then you get to the peak of the mountain – overseeing all of Magic Kingdom park. You can get glimpses of Frontierland, Adventureland, Tom Sawyer Island, and even the Castle. Of course, then you drop five-stories and forget about the view completely.

9. Monorail & Skyliner

While the monorail and skyliner may not totally count as attractions, they are beloved parts of Walt Disney World. Both transportation options offer stunning views of the World. They pass Disney resorts and landscape, giving beautiful views all around.
