If you’ve never enjoyed a meal at Flying Fish restaurant on Disney’s BoardWalk, it’s high time you swim that direction. This wonderful Disney dining experience is the perfect option for date night, but also has plenty of options if you prefer to eat there as a family. The seafood is phenomenal, and nobody ever leaves this place hungry. Not convinced this is the place for you? Here are 7 reasons we know you’ll love it!

1. Upscale Vibe

Most Disney World food stops are geared toward kids. They are colorful and fun, but far from elegant or romantic. Flying Fish sits far at the other end of the spectrum, and offers a wonderful change of pace when you’ve spent several days in bustling theme parks, eating quick-service in order to make it to your ride. This restaurant is definitely geared toward the adults, and the upscale vibe is absolutely wonderful.

2. Subtle Theming

All that said, elegance does not have to mean being void of any theming. Somehow Flying Fish manages to hold onto an ocean theme without going over the top or pushing the theme in your face. In fact, without looking for it, one might not even notice that there’s a theme at all. However, even if you don’t consciously notice the theme, you do definitely feel the relaxation brought on by the ocean.

3. Yummy Bread Service

Every meal at Flying Fish begins with bread service. We adore the bread service at this location, and definitely think it’s one of the better ones on property. The fact that the bread includes seaweed and sea salt butter definitely adds to both the flavor and the theme, making this the perfect beginning to a wonderful meal.

4. Incredible Main Dishes

Of course, bread service is great, but the main dishes are what really matter. Luckily, Flying Fish knows how to do those well too. Every single fish option at this eatery is absolutely incredible, and the steak is amazing as well. The Skuna Bay Salmon is especially good, and we recommend it to anyone who asks. That said, you can’t go wrong with this wonderful menu, so order whatever you think sounds good.

5. Creative Cocktails

Looking to enjoy a beverage? We appreciate the cocktails at this restaurant as they are quite creative and far superior to the standard Disney bar options. The Maple Bacon Fig Manhattan is a surprisingly good concoction that nearly everyone enjoys, and the Pacific Island Punch really adds to the theme. Other favorites include the Pink Grapefruit & Lychee Martini, along with the Peanut Butter Freeze.

6. Sweet, Sweet Dessert

If you get to the end of your meal and can still eat dessert, you’re in for a treat. Every dessert on the menu is wonderful, and each one is themed, making them all that much more charming and tempting. They all come out looking just as lovely as you might imagine, and eating them is a shame really, because they’re all little works of art. Still, they are delicious, especially the “Blueberries, Limes, and Sea Shells” and “Under the Sea”!

7. Perfect Location

Lastly, we must mention the location of this amazing restaurant. It’s located along Disney’s BoardWalk and within walking distance of Epcot. What’s more, a boat can easily be taken to the eatery from Hollywood Studios, and several Disney hotels are nearby. Because it’s right on the BoardWalk, finding more fun after dinner is no problem at all, and those who finish dinner early enough may even be treated to a far-off viewing of “IllumiNations” as it plays in Epcot. The location of Flying Fish truly couldn’t be any better.

By now you’re probably pretty ready to head to Flying Fish. Go ahead and make your reservation, so you can be sure to try this awesome restaurant on your next trip!
