7 Reasons You Will Love Dining At Walt Disney World’s Restaurants

Cre

Disney restaurants are one of the main attractions at Walt Disney World, and that’s because they really are more than just a place to get food while visiting Disney World. For some people, they’re one of the main reasons they visit. Here are 7 reasons why you will love dining at Disney’s restaurants.

7. Options

The dining options are endless at the restaurants in Walt Disney World. There are quick-service dining restaurants if you are looking to refuel, and rest up before hitting the attractions again, or there are sit down, table service restaurants, which tend to require reservations. Both of these restaurant types offer a multitude of options within their own category of dining. Each restaurant focuses on a theme or story that helps determine not only the kind of dining experience, but also the type of cuisine. If there is a particular kind of cuisine or ethnic food you enjoy, chances are you will find it somewhere on Disney property, either at Epcot or one of the resorts. The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom is a great option for families, it features characters and a buffet, but Disney also offers exclusive dining experiences where guests can dine like royalty at Victoria & Albert’s. The dinning options really do seem endless at Disney.

6. The Dining Plan

One of the best things about Disney’s restaurants is that they accept the Disney Dining Plan. There are different plans, but the most common dining plan allows guests to get an entrée, a dessert and a specialty beverage. In those categories on the menu, nothing is off limits or will cost you extra. You don’t have to order from a different menu, and you don’t have to worry about getting the most expensive item on the menu, because it’s covered by your plan! Of course you can add extras to your meal, like an appetizer, or additional alcohol outside of the specialty beverage at an extra cost. Just be sure to check which restaurants require one meal credit or two. If you aren’t sure what your dining plan covers, just ask your server and they will happily go over it with you.

5. Accommodating

Disney’s restaurants are incredibly accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions and allergies. When you make a reservation you can specify any allergies or food issues, and you can also remind your server upon your arrival. The restaurants and quick-service locations often will have a specific menu that will tell guests what dishes are gluten free, dairy free, or nut free, etc. Sometimes the chef will actually come out to speak with you, to ensure you that your meal will be prepared with your specific needs in mind. If there isn’t something on the menu that you can have, the servers and chefs will always do whatever they can to make sure you get a meal that you can eat and will enjoy. Knowing that the restaurants are so accommodating takes the stress out of dining when you have dietary restrictions. Disney really does want you to have the best possible dining experience.

4. Characters

There simply isn’t a better way to meet Disney characters than at a character dining experience. When meeting characters at a restaurant, there is no waiting in line to get your picture taken with your favorite character, instead you can enjoy your meal as you wait for them to stop by your table to greet you. Where else but Disney can you say you dined in a castle and met a princess?

3. Immersive

Disney is so incredibly good at making guests feel as if they are somewhere completely different, and their restaurants are no exception to their fantastic theming. Be Our Guest invites guests into the Beast’s castle where they can dine in the grand ballroom, or the west wing. Tusker House is a buffet amidst a bustling African marketplace, the restaurants in the World Showcase transport you to a different country, and the Jungle Cruise themed restaurant Skipper Canteen, takes you back in time. Disney’s restaurants are a place to take a break and recharge, but you don’t take a break from that Disney storytelling and theming.

2. That Disney Touch

Whatever Disney touches seems to be infused with pixie dust, and so are the restaurants. A number of Disney’s restaurants offer unique dining experiences that you won’t find anywhere else. Many of the restaurants in the World Showcase have seating with amazing views of the World Showcase Lagoon, meaning if you happen to have a late dinner reservation, you will have a wonderful view of Epcot nighttime spectacular. The California Grill at The Contemporary has a breathtaking view of Happily Ever After. That Disney touch extends to so many aspects of the restaurants, such as the cast members who go above and beyond, the little extras you might get when celebrating a special occasion, characters and entertainment.

1. Food

The main reason to love Disney restaurants is the most basic reason of all, the food! The food of Disney’s restaurants is the stuff dreams are made of! Whether they serve comfort food and thanksgiving dinners, or dishes you can’t even begin to pronounce, the food at the restaurants is simply delicious! Some people are often surprised at how good the food is, but Disney’s restaurants really do deliver the whole package and create a truly magical dining experience for guests with delicious food.
