9 Tips For Getting The Most Out Of Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Guests who are fans of the movies and Hollywood should definitely pay a visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on a Walt Disney World vacation. The park invites guests to be the stars in their very own Hollywood experiences through thrilling and unique attractions, entertainment, dining, and shopping. Guests who spend time in the park can rock out with Aerosmith, enter into The Twilight Zone and Star Wars universe, shrink down to the size of toys, hang out with Indiana Jones, and enter directly into iconic scenes from classic movies. With so many amazing experiences to enjoy in Disney’s Hollywood Studios there are some tips to follow to ensure that guests will get the most out of their time there and enjoy as much as possible. Here are nine tips for getting the most out of Disney’s Hollywood Studios on a Walt Disney World vacation.

9. Arrive For Rope Drop

One of the easiest ways to get the most out of any of the four Walt Disney World theme parks is to arrive for rope drop. Arriving for rope drop entails getting to the park before it officially opens to the public and waiting to be let inside. Guests who arrive for rope drop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can enjoy a welcome speech that tells them all about the wonderful adventures waiting inside. Arriving for rope drop ensures that guests are some of the first inside the park where they can then enjoy few crowds, quiet areas, and low wait times.

8. Toy Story Mania First

Once inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests should immediately head towards Pixar Place to enjoy Toy Story Mania. The attraction shrinks guests down to the size of toys to compete in a series of 3D midway games hosted by the characters of Toy Story. Woody, Buzz, and the gang cheer guests on as they aim to get the high score and bragging rights. Toy Story Mania is extremely popular with guests and can easily have wait times that exceed two hours on busy days in the park. By heading straight to the attraction when the park opens, guests can enjoy the experience with a low wait time.

7. FastPass The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Another popular attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios can be found looming on the end of Sunset Boulevard. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror brings guests into the Hollywood Tower Hotel to be the stars in their very own episodes of The Twilight Zone. Since the attraction is so popular, it tends to have long wait times during the day making it an ideal choice for a FastPass. Guests who book a FastPass for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror can then enjoy the experience without spending tons of time waiting on line.

6. Single Ride The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

Right next door to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith which invites guests into G Force Records for a rocking experience. After bumping into the band, guests soon find themselves strapped into super stretch limos and rocketing across Los Angeles to make it to a concert on time. Since The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is so popular, the attraction always tends to have a relatively long wait time. Instead of booking a FastPass for the experience, guests are smart to utilize the Single Rider line which allows them to enjoy the same experience with a much shorter wait time so long as they don’t mind being split up at the loading platform.

5. FastPass Star Tours – The Adventure Continues

Fans of the Star Wars universe are sure to absolutely love experiencing Star Tours – The Adventure Continues. The attraction brings guests on a 3D Star Tours flight which suddenly turns dangerous when a Rebel Spy is discovered on board. Guests then enjoy a randomized series of 3D scenes bringing them on an adventure that is out of this world. Since Star Tours – The Adventure Continues is popular with many guests, it is smart to book a FastPass for the experience to avoid wasting lots of time waiting on the standby line.

Found on Commissary Lane, the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and seats guests inside classic cars facing a movie screen which plays clips of sci-fi classics. Guests who dine at the location can enjoy meals like Shrimp Pasta, Grilled Marinated Salmon Salad, Vegetarian Shepard’s Pie, and Flame-Broiled New York Strip Steak while watching some classic clips on the big screen.

3. Enjoy The Details

Part of what makes Disney’s Hollywood Studios so amazing are the beautiful details found throughout the whole park. From beautiful architecture and subtle nods to classic movies to larger than life props and recreations of famous Hollywood landmarks, the park is full of amazing details to enjoy. Guests who are looking to really make the most out of their time in the park should slow down and enjoy all of the beautiful details.

2. Don’t Skip The Underrated

There are plenty of underrated attractions in Walt Disney World which tend to get overlooked by many guests and there are several in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests who visit the park should be sure to enjoy underrated but amazing attractions like Muppet Vision 3D, The Great Movie Ride, and the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!

1. Line Up Early For Fantasmic!

No day in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is complete without enjoying a showing of Fantasmic! Housed in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater, Fantasmic! brings guests inside Mickey’s imagination for an epic battle between good and evil. Guests who enjoy the show can watch projected animation, dancing water, special effects, pyrotechnics, Disney characters, and a massive dragon come to life to Disney music. Since Fantasmic! is extremely popular, guests should aim to line up on Sunset Boulevard at least an hour before show time to guarantee a seat inside.
