10 Signs You Should Be A Disney Cast Member

If you are reading through this list and you can identify with these signs, you may just want to look into becoming a Walt Disney World cast member. I know I will!

10. You know all the park spiels

“Please keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the car at all times.” I know you can probably say it in Spanish too. Those of us who have to hold back reciting the spiels to Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror, and various others may just make the best cast members.

9. You can sing along to Happily Ever After

To those who can quote the narrations for these amazing displays you are probably already saying them in your head or out loud. And those who can sing the words and the instruments are just Walt Disney World experts (aka future cast members).

8. You enjoy watching others experience Walt Disney World

Whenever I visit Walt Disney World with someone new, I get a kick out of watching them experience the magic for the first time. It doesn’t matter if they are five or eighty-five, the joy is all the same, and it never fails to put a smile on my face.

7. You get goosebumps from going to Disney (no matter how often you go)

I lived in Orlando, Florida for about a year. During my time there, I visited Walt Disney World about fifty times. Yes. Fifty. (I counted.) My Disney obsession is so real, just ask my friends and family. Nevertheless, each time I drive under the Walt Disney World property sign, I still get chills!

6. You love being in the parks more than most people

There are a lot of kids in Walt Disney World each day. Only a few of these children have been more excited than me on a given day when visiting my happy place. If you can relate with this, you too may want to look into becoming a Walt Disney World cast member.

5. You don’t need a park map to know your way around

For those of us who have spent their fair share of vacation time in Walt Disney World, we can relate: we no longer need park maps to know where every single restaurant, ride, and show is inside a given park. It’s like having your own personal Disney GPS. It doesn’t get much better than that, right?

4. You can tell everyone about Disney World without having to Google anything

When writing these reviews, if I need to search any information on the Internet, it is a rare occasion. If you also are a Disney Google search engine yourself, it’s a sign that you should be a Disney cast member. You know more about the parks, restaurants, and resorts in Walt Disney World to the point where you can plan a friend’s vacation in a single conversation. Don’t be ashamed; you know who you are. But, there’s no need to worry: I am the exact same way.

3. You fan-girl about Disney on a daily basis

My friends know me for my Disney obsession. When I meet someone new and they are also a Disney addict, I know we are going to hit it off. Some people fan girl about Zac Efron and Grey’s Anatomy, but we all know the best obsession is a Disney one.

2. You live vicariously through Disney cast members

Over the past few years of living near and being involved with the “happiest place on earth,” I have made friends with a few current Disney cast members. I am not ashamed to say the following: I live vicariously through their social media posts. When I’m sitting inside on a cold, winter day here in North Carolina, there’s nothing better than going on Instagram and seeing a sunny picture of Princess Belle in Epcot or Mickey Mouse in Magic Kingdom. If you find yourself longing to be in the wonderful world of Disney, you may too want to join the cast member crew!

1. You get more excited about going to Disney World than your kids do

My mom can personally relate to this one. When I was in middle school, she and I took mother-daughter trips for three years in a row for my birthday. Each time we would go, my mom would turn into her inner five year old self when she would enter the park. Upon stepping foot on Main Street USA, she would make a beeline for The Confectionary and begin her day with big bag of fresh cotton candy. As a twelve year old girl, I found this to be absolutely fantastic. It was like visiting Disney World with a little sister! Her excitement level definitely puts herself in the “should be a cast member” category.
